It is required for all individuals working in direct care with children to enter and upload their current First Aid and CPR certification to become current on the Practitioner Registry. Licensing rule requires current certification for infant, child, and adult CPR, infant choking response and standard first aid. CPR certification must be completed in a hands-on setting.
When verifying CPR, the Early Childhood Project will be reviewing the card that you uploaded to verify that you completed infant, child and adult CPR along with standard first aid. If your card does not specify these specific certifications your application will be marked incomplete. You will be required to upload a new card or upload verification from your instructor that you received certification in all required areas.
Remember that CPR must be completed in a hands-on setting and no online certification will be verified.
We recommend you contact your local child care resource and referral agency if you need help finding an approved training in your community.
